Why Stewardship Matters

The word stewardship reflects something I believe deeply—that people deserve to be guided with care during important moments, not rushed or pressured through decisions that affect their families and futures.
For me, stewardship is rooted in personal values shaped by my faith—values like responsibility, service, and doing what’s right for people, even when it isn’t the easiest path. Those principles guide how I approach my work and how I walk alongside clients during seasons of transition and uncertainty.
Financial decisions often come during pivotal moments—preparing for retirement, navigating change, or facing uncertainty. My role is to steward people through those decisions with clarity, patience, and care, helping them move forward with confidence.

about me.

I grew up in Carroll County, Virginia, where I still live today with my wife, Hannah, and our two sons, Easton and Kai. Being rooted in this community has shaped how I approach my work—personally, thoughtfully, and with a long-term perspective.
I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2018 through the CFP certification education track in finance and earned my CFP® certification in 2021. That education and training reinforced my belief that good planning is about more than numbers—it’s about helping people make decisions that align with their values and real lives.

A Bit About Me

HOW I WORK WITH CLIENTS

What It’s Like to Work Together

I work directly with clients in a relationship built on trust, communication, and long-term thinking. That means clear conversations, plain-language explanations, and guidance that evolves as life changes.
Clients don’t come to me for quick answers—they come for steady guidance and a partner who takes the time to understand their full picture.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Professional Commitment

I hold the CFP® certification, which reflects a commitment to rigorous professional standards, ethical responsibility, and ongoing education in financial planning. These standards help guide how advice is developed and delivered, with an emphasis on objectivity and care.

lets get started.

Dane is here to reduce anxiety, set expectations, explain how it works, and make the next step feel easy and pressure-free.
This page should answer the quiet question:
“What happens if I reach out?”
It should not feel like a sales funnel.

Reaching out doesn’t mean committing to anything. It simply starts a conversation—one focused on understanding your situation, answering questions, and determining whether working together makes sense.

what to expect when you reach ouT?

Many people hesitate to contact a financial planner because they’re unsure what the process looks like or worry about being pressured into decisions.
Our approach is intentionally different. The first step is a conversation—not a sales meeting. The goal is to listen, understand your concerns, and help you gain clarity around your next steps.

Step 1 — Initial Conversation
We begin with an introductory meeting to learn about you—your goals, questions, and concerns. We’ll discuss what you’re hoping to accomplish and whether our approach is a good fit.
Step 2 — Understanding the Full Picture
If we decide to move forward, we take time to understand your full financial picture. This allows decisions around income, investments, taxes, and long-term goals to be considered together rather than in isolation.
Step 3 — Ongoing Guidance
Planning doesn’t stop after recommendations are made. As life changes, we revisit decisions, adjust plans, and provide ongoing guidance so you don’t have to navigate new questions alone.
(Note: This process is intentionally simple and flexible, designed to evolve with your needs.)
